Wyndham Garden Hotel - Dayton Mall is the official "Event" hotel.
As you have noticed, the event hotel has changed it's brand to a Wyndham Garden Hotel. The hotel is going through a renovation, with the front desk, restaurant, pool area, banquet rooms and some of the hotel rooms finished. See pictures below.

When you call, mention that you are coming to the Dayton Disneyana Event and you will be able to get the special rate, which is $81 a night. Rates are available for Thursday - June 27th, Friday - June 28th, Saturday - June 29th and Sunday - June 30th. To get this rate, reservations must be made by June 11th, 2013.
A word of caution here...due to the renovation of the hotel, the number of rooms have been reduced, so if you are thinking about staying overnight, I would strongly suggest making your reservations as soon as possible.
The area does have a number of offerings you may want to check out as well: the National United States Air Force Museum, which has a Disney Pins on Wings exhibit, The Dayton Art Institute, the Carrilon Historical Park, the Aviation Trail and the Kings Island Amusement Park about 30 mins. south, just to name a few.
