Elisabete (Eli) Minceff Erlandson wanted to study art, but her immigrant parents insisted she study anything else and encouraged medicine or engineering. She chose architecture, which had its own challenges as a male-dominated profession.

For many years, she was the only woman at WDI who had an architectural license. She worked on 11 of the 12 Disney theme parks and has lived in Hong Kong and Paris. She is also an accomplished set designer and art director.

Peggie Fariss began her 50-year career at Disney as an Attractions Hostess on the Storybook Land Canal Boats at Disneyland park. She was instrumental in the research for the EPCOT’s Spaceship Earth attraction and later became WDI’s liaison to corporate sponsors.

Her experience representing WDI’s artistic vision led to her final assignment as a creative development executive for Disneyland Paris, where for five years she led a team that doubled in size from 25 to 50.

Jim Hill is an award-winning entertainment writer who lives in New Boston, NH.
Over the past 30 years, he has interviewed hundreds of veterans of the animation & themed entertainment industry and written extensively about The Walt Disney Company.

Jim is currently working on a behind-the-scene history of the development & construction of Disneyland. For his more immediate musings on movies, TV shows, books and theme parks, please check out his blog, jimhillmedia.com and in-depth theme park history podcasts at DisneyDish.Bandcamp.com.

Rebekah Moseley is the co-founder of LaughingPlace.com. Rebekah is a lifelong Disney fan, growing up on repeated viewings of classic Disney movies and frequent Disneyland visits. So it was no surprise to anyone who knew her that she met her husband on Disneyland’s Main Street.

Shortly after their marriage they combined his computer skills with her love of photography and writing to found LaughingPlace.com, a website for Disney fans by Disney fans. It was among the earliest completely digital fan publications to be granted media credentials by Disneyland & Walt Disney World. As the Disney Company grew so did LaughingPlace.com and it is now the home for frequent updates on everything under the Disney umbrella.
